What is your go to hair wash routine? Is there a right or wrong way to wash your hair?

Is there a right or wrong way to wash your hair? Yes and no. We like to say there are ways to get the most out of your wase routine and products used.

The double shampoo- The first shampoo removes dirt and oils that are built up on the hair and scalp. Then the second shampoo is than more easily able to clean and target hair and scalp needs. Double shampooing can aid in reducing and removing excess oils, product build up, and impurities that can lead to scalp conditions. Make sure to consult with your stylist the best routine for your hair type and needs. Double shampoo is not always ideal for every shampoo depending on hair type and how often you are washing your hair. Recommendations: L'anza Clarifying shampoo, L'anza healing oil shampoo, L'anza healing blonde shampoo.

Masque- A masque can help to make your hair Shinier, softer hair, add moisture, reduce hair breakage and damage, create less frizz, help aid in a healthier scalp, and many more benefits. Recommendations: L'anza Healing oil mask, L'anza moisture mask.

Conditioner-After shampooing your hair or after using a masque don't forget to condition your hair mid hair to ends. Conditioner improves texture, replenishes moisture, reduces frizz, protects the hair cuticle, prevents breakage, improves manageability and so much more. Changing and switching up your conditioner for different seasons or needs is beneficial. Recommendations: L'anza Healing oil, L'anza Glossifying, L'anza blonde, L'anza Curl Butter Conditioner.

Leave In products/ Heat Protectants- Leave in products can be beneficial for several things. Leave in products can provide extra moisture when your hair is in a dryer state. They also can help detangle and protect from damage or reduce frizz. Heat Protectants are extremely important for blow-drying and styling with hot tools. Heat Protectants reduce the damage to hair from heat, protect and reduce color fading. Recommendations: L'anza Neem detangler, Unite detangler, L'anza Smoothing Serum, K-18 Leave in mask, Olaplex #3 leave in, L'anza Thermal spray, L'anza shine spray. The great things about L'anza products is that they ALL have heat protection added to them.

Serums/ Oils- Serums and oils are important to add moisture, create a protective layer, and help with bonding and reconstructing damaged hair. Recommendations: L'anza healing oil, L'anza Neem Silk Serum, Olaplex oil, K-18 oil.

    HOT TIPS:
*Make sure your hair is extremely saturated with water before you apply shampoo. Quality products will contain very little water therefore you need to add water to be able to lather.
*Keep a claw clip in your shower, if you enjoy steaming hot showers keep your hair out of the water, than adjust the temperature when it is time to rinse your hair with cooler water.
*Always apply conditioner after a mask treatment. Think of it as a facial, you still apply moisturizer after a face mask. If you are using a heavy moisture mask, use a lighter conditioner.
    * Shampoo brush is a game changer, especially in colder months or with a lot of product build up. It allows the shampoo to really exfoliate the scalp and remove build up.
